Ingredients for Mattar Paneer
For the Curry Base
- Paneer (cubed) – 250 g
- Boiled green peas – 1 cup
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Ghee – 3 tbsp
- Onion (chopped) – 1
- Green chillies – 2
- Garlic cloves – 2
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Cashew nuts – 5
- Poppy seeds – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Qora Kasuri Methi – 1 tsp
For the Gravy
- Tomato purée – 2 tomatoes
- Qora Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Qora Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
- Qora Kitchen King Masala – 2 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Water – as required
How to Make Mattar Paneer
Heat oil in a pan and lightly sauté onion, green chillies, garlic, ginger, cashews, poppy seeds, cumin, and Qora Kasuri Methi until fragrant. Add ½ cup water, remove from heat, let it cool slightly, then grind into a smooth paste.
Heat ghee in a pan and cook the prepared paste for 2–3 minutes. Add tomato purée, Qora Chilli Powder, Qora Turmeric Powder, Qora Kitchen King Masala, and salt. Cook until the masala thickens and ghee begins to separate.
Add boiled peas and mix well. Pour in ½ cup water, add paneer cubes, and simmer for 5 minutes until the curry comes together.
Serve hot with Indian breads or rice.
